The research process for the design of the equipoise lamp was heavily influenced by the principles of the Bauhaus movement and the retro-futuristic aesthetic. The goal was to create a functional piece of lighting that also serves as a sculptural element in the room. To further enhance the sculptural aspect of the design, the lamp was created with clean lines and a geometric shape, evoking a sense of balance and equilibrium.
